This one time set goes out to a lot of our loved ones, from family members who have recently passed away, to close friends who have suffered inexplicable injury and tragedy, and especially for friendships that transcend a dance community. 

Special shout-outs go to our following company members who have made this their last performance: Jose Lamarque, who will be sojourning to Japan; and to Richard Blackwood, who will be trading in his dance shoes for the suit and tie, as well as pursuing his graduates degree.

And as always, this performance, as well as every performance is for you J.T. 

We here at Project D are all for continued growth and learning for the community. A constantly growing community of dancers that take classes consistently create an ever developing community of dancers that continue to challenge the rest of us.

Unfortunately due to economical tough times and the lack of continued interest, we have decided to cut classes at Step By Step Dancesport, INC (24 New Bridge Road, Bergenfield, NJ 07621) starting APRIL 2012.

We will still hold our SIGNATURE FIRST of the MONTH classes featuring a local community dancer every first SATURDAY of the MONTH from 3 to 4PM, as well as special workshops from popular out of town dancers, and maybe a free dance day from time to time. However, unless there is a demanding interest in our classes, we will be eliminating our 5:30PM TUESDAY Master class with Project D Director, Steven Armendi, our 7:00PM THURSDAY Beginning Intermediate Class, and our 3:00PM SATURDAY Open Level Class from here on out.

This weekend has been a blessing to all who is community and family. From watching our varsity team, Defined Movement, and our junior team, New Groundz, perform their new sets at FULL OUT to watching an era of new age community dancers show us who they really are on stage, this year’s pride 4 showed us all what our strong dance community can accomplish over time. We saw the rise of new talent, as well as the return of veteran dancers and old friends back in the stage light.

For us, it showed the community who to look out for in the next couple of weeks before we host Prelude Dance Competition on December 3rd at the Williams Center for Arts in Rutherford, NJ. And for us personally, it marked a lot of things: (1) the first public performance to our community with new family since our 2011 August summer auditions, (2) the return of past project d members from generations since seasons of stage 1 and stage 2, and (3) a performance that fully displayed the new leadership and up and coming talent within our team’s direction.

We certainly left our hearts on stage that night, and we certainly hope you enjoyed our set!
